This month we say hello to our instructor Altin Vrapi. Altin graduated in Polytechnic University of Tirana – Master Science in Engineering. He has worked in several areas of Aviation for more than 23 years, starting from Aircraft Engineer, Technical Director, Quality Manager, and Accountable Manager in Airlines. We asked Altin to tell us a bit more about himself.
Q: Does the aviation gene run in your family?
A: Not at all. I wanted to be a doctor, to especially help my father who had a heart attack. Now, if I could be again on the past, I will never change Engineering and Aviation with any other profession.
Q: Is there a childhood dream involved in your choice of career?
A: Somehow yes, I wanted to become an engineer. I chose aerospace engineering and if I would have the chance to start again I would probably choose the same.
Q: In your opinion, what is the most valuable quality a person should have in your line of work?
A: The most important think that I have learned from the Aviation, is the Balance and the working logic.
Q: What are the most enjoyable aspects of the job? And the most challenging?
A: I enjoy the Aviation for the possibilities it creates to reach anywhere in a relatively short time, by improving your experiences, knowledges and qualities in your working environment.
Q: How do you find ways to make your work more interesting for you and your trainees?
A: What makes my job interesting, is that the Aviation is always improving and challenging. I also like promoting my experiences with my colleagues, trainees and friends, who like to know more about aviation. It is fun managing the improvement which brings the change in the Aviation.
Q: Would you like to share some interesting and extraordinary experience involving your work?
A: I would like to say that the Aviation is a job which keeps me young, in ideas and in desires for improving myself and aviation environment in my country.
Q: What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
A: I enjoy Gym mostly, “team building” with my colleagues and of course football.
We thank Altin for his time and wish him all the best in his future professional endeavors!
