Steve Bentley MD of Sofema Aviation Services is shown receiving a gift from the Gulf Civil Aviation Authority kindly presented by Mr Omar Bin Ghaleb, Deputy Director General of GCAA.
The event took place on Thursday 4th April and was focused on the further developments of the SMS and update regarding the developments of the SSP
During the day delegates were able to listen to presentations on the following Regional Aviation Safety Group & State Aviation Enforcement Programme, presented by Mr Ismaeil Al Balooshi, State Safety Program (SSP) – A step ahead in the Aviation Community presented by Capt Saeed Rahman, Developing SMS into a realistic and practical management system presented by Steve Bentley.
Additional presentations looked at Development & requirements for Safety Performance of UAE Aviation Industry presented by Capt Nasir Iqbal, Emirates Airlines – Safety Management System (SMS) Implementation presented by Capt Mark Burtonwood and Etihad Airways – Safety Management System (SMS) Implementation presented by Capt Paolo La Cava.
