During October 2013 Steven Bentley MD of Sofema Aviation Services had the pleasure of delivering 5 days Intensive Training covering several subjects to Jat Tehnika.
Jat Tehnika, newly formed MRO, was born on 1st January 2006 as a part of transition process in Serbia, separated from mother company Jat Airways.
With over 80 years of west aircraft technology maintenance tradition, much work is in-house capability, a lot of component shops and a lot of hangar space, situated at the area of international Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla”, Jat Tehnika is the best equipped MRO centre in the South-Eastern Europe.
The course covered the challenges of delivering an effective Risk Management System focusing on the structure, methodology and techniques for dealing with Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
Part 145 course objectives included familiarization with current and anticipated regulatory changes with emphasis on Compliance Monitoring and AMC & GM procedures. In addition, to raise an understanding of the Part 145 operator monitoring processes in particular within the Quality Safety and Training departments to ensure effective compliance with Part 145 and the forthcoming SMS obligations together with associated requirements.
