Friday 26th June saw the completion of an intensive 3 day program covering all elements related to the implementation of an effective Production Planning Control System.
The course was attended by delegates from Air Botswana together with regulators from the Botswana CAA.
The objectives of the courses included sharing an understanding regarding industry best practice techniques to deliver effective Production Planning, a comprehensive understanding of processes to generate efficiencies in the Production Planning Process.
The course covered the following core subjects related to both Production Planning and to Understanding the concepts and obligations of the Maintenance Planning Process.
Subjects delivered included:
– Regulatory Overview understanding
– Continuing Airworthiness Part M – Part 145 Interface and responsibilities
– Contract & Subcontract Management and the role of Aviation Quality Systems including QC & QA and Post Holder Responsibilities and Relationships
– The Basics of Maintenance Planning -The Approved Maintenance Program & the generation of the Work Package -Task Packaging.
– Managing Competencies, Optimizing the performance of the Part 145
– Critical Path Analysis and the Role of SMS in Production Planning
– The importance of Considering AD’s SB’s and Mods Service Level Agreements & Optimizing the Supply Chain
– Capacity Planning, Man-hours Planning and Estimation
– Aviation Maintenance Post Check Analysis and Follow up & Production Planning Driven Change Management Process
