The Aims and Deliverables of the Human Factors Train the Trainer Program Offered by Sofema Aviation Services  – SAS.

The Maintenance Organisation should  continuously review human factors training to ensure that it is focused on “real-world” human factors challenges faced both with the organisation in particular and aviation maintenance.

For effective human factors training it is necessary for the Maintenance organisation to fully understand the most important safety concerns within its organization, Ideally connected to the Quality and Safety System within the organisation. Whilst many of the fundamental principles of human factors apply to all maintenance work, the important requirement is to make the training relevant and in this way to promote better acceptance.

Effective training is  a pre-requisite for both good maintenance and inspection performed on Aircraft. Human factors plays an increasing role in Delivering a safe and effective product Inspection in general and Zonal Inspection in particular is driven by the requirements of MSG 3. Across industry there is a huge variation. Human factors training is an essential element in providing a comprehensive understanding of the various potential for shortfalls an mistakes by identifying those areas which are most susceptible.

If the proposed training plans lacks realistic examples of real world aviation maintenance, the training is likely to be less acceptable and not so effective compared with if it is  designed and delivered based on company-specific content with meaningful examples derived from its own organisations experiences.

SAS offers a two day intensive course which is highly participative and stimulates involvement and provides for powerful motivation.

The primary goal is to  introduce the delegate to training skills and to provide the confidence which can be developed to deliver effective Human Factors Training within their own  organizations.

The Aims of the course are to prepare delegates for training Human Factors in their own organization, through the  medium of an active review of an entire Human Factors training course.

The primary objectives of the course are for the delegates to understand how to design and deliver training in their own organization based  on the HF model but suitable for other in  company training sessions.

Amongst the benefits of the training is to enable the delegates to learn training skills,  which can be developed to maximize the  effectiveness of the training sessions. Also to provide the delegates with an understanding of how to balance presentation, motivate debate and discussion.  In addition to  understand the Adult learning process.

Who Should Attend  ? In fact the course is aimed at Airlines and Maintenance organizations wishing to train their own Human Factors Trainers.
