Sofema Aviation Services commenced Trading in March 2008 and now employs a full time staff of 8 supported by Aviation Industry Professionals with many decades of experience gained through a range of roles providing a resource pool of 15 regulatory consultants and trainers.

The business continues to grow because we take our customer focused approach very seriously. We also ensure we deliver the best possible service at the most competitive price.

Because the administrative headquarters of SAS are located in Sofia, Bulgaria our cost base allows us to be highly competitive without compromising our professionalism.

Through SAS consultancy services we are able to share this experience, however to do it in a more pragmatic and dynamic way.

We know very well the market we operate and we have the resources and support to help you deliver your project in the most competitive way.

We recognize that we cannot “do it” for the client as this does not work in our environment. We see our role as empowering you to achieve your objectives across a range of support initiatives (see below for the 5 key areas where we can provide support).

Based on our familiarity with all elements and aspects of regulatory approval we are ideally placed to support you to obtain your regulatory approval.

Whether you are looking for a full Air Operators Certificate (AOC), EASA Part 145 Approval, EASA Part M Approval, EASA Part 147 Approval, EASA Part 21 Subpart G (Production Organisation Approval) or Subpart J (Design Organisation Approval)

We can help you in a range of different ways:

1/ Initial understanding of the requirements associated with the Approval

We have more than 250 EASA Regulatory Compliant Courses as well as numerous vocational training courses to take you to the required level of knowledge.

2/ Gap Analysis to support a full understanding of where your organisation wants to be and where you are now.

Consider this as a compliance type audit which serves to provide you with guidance to understand exactly what is required to achieve your desired approval.

3/ Development of Manuals Documents and Procedures

This is potentially a huge undertaking, whilst we could write the manuals for you we prefer you to write them and own them and for SAS to support you.

This is a far more cost effective way of moving forward. Documentation needs to be appropriate and relevant to your organisation, “copy paste” documentation is a false economy so it is important to view this in a pragmatic way and invest the resource into the project.

4/ Support for the Nominated Persons plus Quality and Safety Systems

To achieve your approval may create additional competency led requirements associated with the delivery of the approval.
Is your Quality System adequate to support the intended scope of the approval?
Do you have a Safety Management System in Place (SMS) Are you fully familiar with what you will need to satisfy the forthcoming regulations as well as your potential customers and clients?

5/ Competence development of Key Workers

The organisation is only as good as its employees, to be effective we need to ensure that the relevant people within the organisation meet an acceptable level of criteria (please note this is an organisational standard rather than an industry standard)
