Introduction

The Aviation Security (AVSEC)- Safeguarding against acts of Unlawful Interference training provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the role that the aviation security plays in civil aviation, focusing on airport, aircraft, passenger and baggage security, screening methods and procedures, including basic respond mechanism to acts of unlawful interference.

Who is the course for?

All personnel involved in implementing security measures or authorized to have unescorted access to a security restricted area.
In addition, this training is valuable for the participants working in an airport or airline office environment.

What is the Benefit of this Training – What will I learn?

This training aims to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of AVSEC fundamentals including standards and recommended practice relating to designation of Airport areas, access control and screening procedures, security culture, insider and cyber threats, in-flight security measures and respond to security related incidents.

Detailed Content / Topics – The following Subjects will be addressed

Introduction to training
Fundamentals of aviation security
Acts of unlawful interference in civil aviation, acts of terrorism and threats
Aviation security management system
Aviation security measures
Responding to incidents and emergencies in the field of aviation security

Pre-requisites

Recommended level is Entry-level and Intermediate.
Ground handling Agents, Airport operator’s and/or Airline’s employees with completed secondary education.
Good oral and written command of English.

Learning Objectives

– recognized the impact of previous acts of unlawful interference, terrorist acts and current threats in civil aviation.
– awareness of the relevant legal requirements.
– knowledge of the objectives and organization of aviation security.
– awareness of access control and relevant screening procedures.
– knowledge of airport identification cards used at the airport.
– ability to report and respond appropriately to security related incidents.

Target Groups

Airport’s and or Airline’s staff who will be granted with the identification cards allowing them unescorted access into the security restricted areas of the Airport including the critical facilities, infrastructure, and systems.
Personnel working in an airport or airline office environment.
