Are you fully aware of your level of lease return exposure?
Presented by Sofema Aviation Services (SAS)
Whilst this is a Real Story, typically in every case the airline suffers significant losses – It does not have to be this way!
What are the penalties faced by the Airline related to Structural Repair Shortfall?
Lessor insisted repairs were redone in accordance with the current version of the SRM and the GRN’s of all the materials used recorded.
Resulted in disruption to the Airlines planned work, including a two week overrun and 14 days of Penalty Rent.
What Went Wrong?
Structural Repairs not fully documented.
The revision number of the SRM not recorded and no GRN’s of the materials (Aluminium and rivets) used.
Additional Factors contributing to the Costs & Delay
Difficulty finding correctly skilled personnel to perform the repairs and a Hangar to carry out the repairs in.
