The Aviation Quality and Safety Management Symposium – Speakers

Date: 14-15th May 2019

The event aims to bring on a common platform aviation professionals and stakeholders to discuss issues of mutual interest. Via the sessions, the Symposium will try to raise the Profile of Key Safety and Quality Employees within EASA Compliant Organizations, while at the same time will raise the awareness regarding the risk management. Another goal is to highlight the contribution of the Safety and Quality business areas to support the positive development of the organization and to achieve minimal exposure.

One more topic of the first day is “Developing a Safety Culture -The Challenges” presented by Florin Necula.

Florin graduated from Faculty of Aerospace Engineering in Bucharest. Then he followed and MSc program in Airworthiness, in the UK. Currently, he is a PhD candidate with the main research topic in maintenance errors with Polytechnic University of Bucharest, where he is also a lecturer.
Florin started his experience on large aircraft maintenance in 2008 with a UK MRO as a B1 Certifying Staff, then he joined Lufthansa Technik for some years. In 2016 he became Technical Director of TAROM. In 2018 he started a new Line Maintenance organisation in Bucharest where he is currently in charge as Accountable Manager and Postholder Maintenance. He was also involved in several start-ups of new AOCsas Postholder for Continuing Airworthiness.
Florin joined SOFEMA in 2013 and since then he delivered several training related to Aviation Legislation, Safety Management Systems (for operators, MROs, airports, ATC organisations), Risk Assessment and Quality.
