> Korean Air Launches Special Safety Audit of A330s

Korean Air has started a special safety audit of its Airbus A330 fleet, three days after the second incident involving the airline’s widebody fleet occurred in a week. The latest case saw one of the airline’s A330-300s headed to Sydney, Australia, return to Seoul on Sunday after one of its Pratt & Whitney PW4000-series turbofans malfunctioned during the airplane’s climb, prompting the pilots to shut down the engine. >> Air Serbia schedules first China service

Air Serbia has scheduled its second long-haul destination and its first service to China, with one weekly flight to Tianjin to launch on December 9. Services will be maintained each Friday, departing Belgrade, and each Sunday on the inbound from Tianjin. Flights will be operated by the airline’s two Airbus A330-200 aircraft.  Read more

Boeing (BOE, Washington National) is targeting Air India (AI, Mumbai Int’l) as a lead potential customer for a substantial part of around 140 B737 MAX originally earmarked for Chinese carriers but not delivered due to the ongoing grounding of the type in the country, Bloomberg has reported. > IBGAA To Host Debut Conference in Limerick

The Irish Business & General Aviation Association (IBGAA) is holding its debut conference on November 17 in Limerick with plans to focus on sustainability and the value of business aviation in Ireland’s economy. Hildegarde Naughton, minister of state at the Ireland Department of Transport, is scheduled to formally open the event and address the expected 150 delegates in attendance. Read more
