Katya joined the Sofema team in August 2021. She currently works as a Quality & Training Support Manager.

“I have been working in the aviation field all my life. But the job at Sofema gave me the opportunity to develop a deeper knowledge of EASA Regulations. As I worked mainly in the operations, now I have learned more about Maintenance Organisations structure and regulatory frame, as well as other aspects like Logistics, Production Planning, etc. For the short period I am working here I gained more confidence as I progress through my daily tasks.”

- What inspired you to become a Quality & Training Support Manager?
The possibility to understand in-depth and use EASA Regulatory System and improve my knowledge about the Aviation industry.
- Can you describe your job in three words?
Challenging, educational, intriguing.
- What is the best aspect about being a part of the Sofema Team?
The working environment is one of the best I have seen through my work experience. The team is very supportive and easygoing.
- Which skills have you developed while working at Sofema?
To be more precise in my work and double-check if needed.
- If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
“The Adventures of Curious Katie”, because I can describe myself as an adventure seeker.
- Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?
That would be drawing, I have been keen on drawing all my life but didn`t actually develop this talent.
