Regulatory Compliance is a step on the journey – It is not in itself the journey
Who provides the “best” training – off course a loaded question and how do we define BEST !
Consider the role of the organisation is to deliver an effective product in a safe and efficient way and that “compliance” with regulatory obligations is or should be a given rather than an objective in itself.
Means an organisation should never identify compliance with the regulations as a particular goal – rather the most efficient use of the organisations resources should be the significant driver with the focus on regulatory compliance considered as either a “given” or minimum compliance. With organisational standards set at a higher level than the expectations driven by regulatory compliance.
Buying into a Philosophy
The philosophy is quite simple and it is that the best regulatory or vocational training will be delivered by organisations with significant industry experience and exposure. Rather than a training organisation that has its origins on ensuring compliance (let’s not misunderstand compliance is the minimum acceptable standard).
The most effective training will focus on the promotion of effective and efficient organisational behaviour which is designed to drive and understanding of practical processes, which can then be embraced by the organisation.
The organisation may then choose to apply the new understanding in a practical way to improve process procedures together with the most efficient use of resources.

Ensure your training provider has significant industry awareness as over reliance on regulators to deliver regulatory and vocational training misses the fundamental need to achieve a level competence which sees the regulation as a compliance not an objective.
