The Benefits of in house Aviation Human Factors Training – Developing your own Human Factors Trainers through the Human Factor Train the Trainer Program.

Sofema Aviation Services –SAS has been delivering for some time an aviation Maintenance focused Human Factor Train the Trainer Course,

If you would like details of the trainings please visit www.sassofia.com or email office@sassofia.com.

The objectives of the Train the Trainer course are essentially to  help  delegates to understand how to design and deliver training in their own organization based on the HF model but in fact is  suitable for other in company training sessions for example Fuel Tank Safety. In addition to  enable delegates to learn training skills, which can be developed to maximize the  effectiveness of the training sessions.

What are the advantages of delivering your own human factors training ? In fact bringing the HF Training program in-house provides the foundation for the organisation to integrate the output of the Quality audit system and the Safety Management System into the Human Factors training Program.

Human Factors Training has been mandatory since 2006 for all Part 145 Organizations.  Moreover current NPA activity has identified the need to extend HF training into the Part M Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organisation (CAMO) It is generally accepted that the most effective HF training, is training which takes into full account specific organizational issues, and has a direct connection with the Quality and Safety System of the organization.

GM 145.A.30 (e) advises that HF topics should be related to maintenance engineering where possible; too much unrelated theory should be avoided. The intensive 2 day course provides a comprehensive understanding of the requirement for effective Human Factors Training and provides a toolkit of techniques to enable your nominated HF trainer to deliver appropriate and specific HF training within your organization. The course is highly practical, and promotes best  training practices.

Human factors issues Including Flight Crew, Maintenance ground Operations and Air Traffic Control are known to contribute to approximately 80 percent of all aviation accidents and incidents. The UK Aircraft Accidents Investigation Board AAIB and the UK Civil Aviation Authority in conjunction with work performed by the Federal Aviation Authority FAA carried out ground breaking research  this research has  shown that HF  training can address a significant number of the issues that affect  these HF events To focus on Maintenance which contributes approx 30% of the total  Focus on maintenance human factors can raise efficiency, effectiveness, and safety in aviation environments.
