This month we meet you with our instructor Dobrica Vincic. With a background of airworthiness, design, regulatory and safety oversight, especially investigation in aircraft maintenance environment, Dobrica is focused for delivery of high quality training of EASA regulations with details from years of experience in operation, maintenance, quality and safety.

We asked Dobrica to tell us a bit more about himself.

 

Q: Does the aviation gene run in your family?
A: Yes, my mother and my father-in-law worked for airliner. Nowadays, my wife and I are working in MRO as aeronautical engineers.

Q: Is there a childhood dream involved in your choice of career?
A: Not in particular, but I always wanted to be in some kind of transportation industry.

Q: In your opinion, what is the most valuable quality a person should have in your line of work?
A: For a trainer, the most valuable qualities are constant learning, collecting and analyzing data, trainee oriented presentation skill and open speech within class.

Q: What are the most enjoyable aspects of the job? And the most challenging?
A: Meeting with different people with different culture and sharing experience. The most challenging is teaching colleagues with more/wider experience.

Q: How do you find ways to make your work more interesting for you and your trainees?
A: Sometimes, I answer to question with another question and use that to start discussion.

Q: Would you like to share some interesting and extraordinary experience involving your work?
A: In one occasion, most interesting were the ideas one trainee had after he realized that he can have his own MRO in his garage.

Q: What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
A: Walking, riding a bike, also like photography and follow F1, MotoGP and tennis.
