Aircraft De-icing & Anti-icing EASA Operators Responsibilities & Awareness I.A.W. Aerospace Standard AS6285 Rev. E – 2 Days

Introduction

This course provides a comprehensive overview of aircraft de-icing and anti-icing procedures, with a specific focus on compliance with the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations.
De-icing/anti-icing training is mandatory for staff engaged in the actual de-icing / anti-icing process, staff supervising the process, and staff controlling the process.

This training has been specifically developed for Airline Operations and Quality Staff to provide an understanding regarding the various types of icing, understand its causes, and become familiar with the meteorological conditions under which it is most likely to occur.

Delegates will benefit from a basic understanding of the icing threat and the knowledge of how to avoid it or at least minimize the problem.

Completion of this course will provide the knowledge to be able to engage with and manage the de-icing / anti-icing operations at a high standard of performance in any conditions necessary.

Who is the course for?

This course is designed to educate operators on their responsibilities and enhance awareness regarding de-icing and anti-icing procedures for aircraft. The 2-day program aims to ensure compliance with EASA regulations and promote effective practices in maintaining safe and efficient operations in challenging weather conditions.

What is the Benefit of this Training – What will I learn?

a) Understanding of EASA Regulations: Gain in-depth knowledge of the EASA regulations pertaining to aircraft de-icing and anti-icing.
b) Safety Enhancement: Learn procedures that significantly reduce the risks associated with aircraft icing.
c) Operational Efficiency: Acquire skills to perform de-icing and anti-icing operations effectively, minimizing delays and maximizing safety.
d) Incident Analysis: Understand the causes and prevention strategies for aircraft icing accidents.
e) Practical Skills: Develop practical skills in various de-icing and anti-icing techniques and equipment usage.
