Introduction
The management of technical manuals, documents and records related to aircraft maintenance, and the continued demonstration of organisational compliance with regulatory requirements, is of critical importance to the success of any aviation organisation. Without adequate control of approved data and associated documentation, the integrity of the organisation’s approval may be placed in jeopardy.
This 4-day intermediate to advanced level course is designed for CAMO staff, existing technical records personnel, and Technical Library staff. It may also benefit those considering employment within a CAMO as a senior technical records administrator, officer, or Technical Librarian.
The course covers the full scope of the Technical Librarian and Technical Records Officer roles, including control and distribution of publications and amendments, receipt and categorisation of documents such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, AMM, IPC, SRM, CMM, Flight Manuals, STCs, Type Certificate Data Sheets and all other organisation-specified material. On the records side, delegates will explore duties including component removal and installation tracking, AD and SB status reporting, work package review, audit preparation and Airworthiness Review Certificate management.
Throughout the course, delegates will be introduced to the regulatory requirements of EASA Part-M alongside industry best practice, self-monitoring procedures and the common errors encountered in both technical records and library management environments.
