Electrical Wiring Interconnect System – Groups 1 & 2 Practical Training – 1/2 Day

Introduction

AMC 20-22 makes It very clear as to the requirements which are to be complied with to ensure the organisation remains in conformity with EASA regulatory requirements.
Ultimately in accordance with the terms of the approval issued to Operators and MROs, It is the Operators and Maintenance Organisation Responsibility to comply with the requirements of Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems working practices and procedures including specifically EWIS training.

When we consider the challenges of Electrical Wiring Interconnect System Inspection Standards we may appreciate that there are limitations as to the effectiveness of the Visual Inspection process so every effort should be made to support the most effective methods possible.

The most effective EWIS organisational standard provides for a combination of techniques including visual–additional maintenance practices – improved training including practical training inspection techniques specifically for EWIS Inspectors.

Remember Human factors and effective inspection – take frequent breaks during the inspection –focus 100% on what you see. Share what you find with colleagues – raising the standard.

Sofema Aviation Services is pleased to offer a 1/2 Day in company Training to share Practical Inspection Techniques to ensure compliance with the requirements of AMC 20-22.

Please note this training is for a group size of 6 to 8 persons and consists of a combination of technical review and practical inspection – access to customer aircraft WDM chapter 20 and avionic tooling required.

Who is the course for?

The course is made for individuals who are involved in the maintenance, installation, and repair of aircraft electrical systems. This may include technicians, mechanics, and other professionals who are responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of aircraft electrical systems. The training is intended to provide practical knowledge and skills related to the inspection, testing, and repair of electrical wiring interconnect systems, which are critical components of modern aircraft.

What is the Benefit of this Training – What will I learn?

a) Gain a deeper understanding of the principles and practices of maintaining, installing, and repairing aircraft electrical systems.
b) How to meet regulatory requirements for personnel training in the aviation industry. Many aviation authorities, such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States, require personnel involved in maintenance, inspection, and repair of aircraft electrical systems to receive regular training to maintain their qualifications and stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and practices.
c) How to reduce the risk of equipment failure and downtime, which can lead to costly delays and cancellations. By ensuring that personnel are well-trained and knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of electrical wiring interconnect systems, organizations can minimize the risk of equipment failures and improve operational efficiency.
