UAE – GCAA CAR OPS 1 – 2 Days

Introduction

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, known in these regulations as the “Authority” has implemented CAR-OPS 1 based on the European Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR), with a view to harmonizing legislation and to regulate commercial air transport and private operations of aeroplanes.

ICAO Annex 6 has been selected to provide the basic structure of CAR–OPS and for Air Operator Certification and Private Operator Authorization, but with additional sub-division where considered appropriate. The content of Annex 6 has been used and added to, where acceptable.

The Authority has adopted associated compliance or interpretative material wherever possible and, unless specifically stated otherwise, clarification will be based on this material or other JAR/EASA documentation.

The training outlines the overall regulatory framework of UAE GCAA and considers all roles and responsibilities related to the Organisation and Nominated Persons. Additionally the training is focused on the needs of the UAE Operational and CAMO Staff who are part of a Commercial Air Transport (CAT) Air Operators Certificate (AOC).

The training is suitable for all Operational staff including Ground / Flight Planning, Supervisory and Management Staff. Additionally, the course will be of benefit to Quality Audit Personnel.

e) Understand the requirements related to Quality & Safety organisational obligations including Safety Management, Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Control (QC)

f) Communicate and Motivate staff and effectively monitor their performance

Regulatory Authority Members, Flight Safety Department Managers, and Inspectors with operational oversight responsibilities. Operations Accountable Managers and proposed Nominated Persons (NP) Flight OPS, Maintenance, Crew Training and Ground Ops, Compliance Monitoring Managers (Quality Managers) and Auditors, Safety Managers, Flight Safety Officers, Flight Operations Officers, and Cabin Crew Management.

Pre-requisites
A background or understanding of Operations within European aviation will be an advantage.
