Albert started his aviation career in the Royal Australian Navy in 1956 and graduated as an avionic systems engineer and later changed career paths to naval aviator. His pilot experience includes line, training and checking operations in piston, turboprop and turbojet aircraft.

Albert spent sixteen years in the Royal Australian Navy, six years as an avionic systems engineer and ten years as a Naval Aviator/Pilot. His military flying duties included flight and simulator instructor assignments and three years loan service with the Royal Australian Air Force as a flight instructor and Basic Jet Training Standards Officer.

A total of four years of his career he spent in the Australian Bureau of Air Safety Investigation as an Inspector (Air Safety), aircraft accident investigator.

Albert spent over 10 years in general aviation training, charter, freight and regular public transport operations, including Regional Airline Operations Manager/Chief Pilot/Training and Checking Captain.

Another six-and-a-half years with were spent in British Aerospace Flight Training Australia, Tamworth where, as Operations Manager/Chief Flight Instructor, where he was responsible for training pilots and cadets from the Australian & and other Asian countries.

Part of his career includes nine years as Senior Lecturer/Program Director (Aviation Studies) at University of South Australia responsible for administration, research and development of Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Aviation) Program and Commercial Pilot Program.

Albert retired from the University of South Australia in 2007 to assist in the establishment and development of aviation training programs in Thailand.

On arrival in Thailand he completed a one year contract with King Mongkuts University as Airport Development Project Advisor involving the establishment of an airport facility on their Prachin Buri Campus in accordance with ICAO guidelines and requirements which was successfully completed.

Concurrent with the final stages of the airport project Albert accepted a further contract for two years to set-up and establish an Institute of Aviation Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology. As the inaugural Director he was responsible for the design and implementation of an undergraduate degree program (Bachelor of Aviation) providing three major streams – aviation pilot, aviation management, and aviation operations. This contract was completed successfully.

During the last two years Albert is a art-time appointment as Safety/Quality Manager of HS Aviation at Don Mueang Airport, Bangkok which involved the production, approval by the Thai Civil Aviation Authority, and implementation of a Safety Management Manual.
