The Aviation Quality and Safety Management Symposium – Speakers

Date: 14-15th May 2019
Venue: Holliday Inn Hotel, Sofia, Bulgaria.

The event aims to bring on a common platform aviation professionals and stakeholders to discuss issues of mutual interest. Via the sessions, the Symposium will try to raise the Profile of Key Safety and Quality Employees within EASA Compliant Organizations, while at the same time will raise the awareness regarding the risk management. Another goal is to highlight the contribution of the Safety and Quality business areas to support the positive development of the organization and to achieve minimal exposure.

Another one of our honourable speakers is Elin Lambrev, who will present us the topic “Safety and Security concerns of airport vicinity incursions of UAV (drones)”.

His journey in aviation started in 1980, first at the military as a flight crew of transport aircraft. In 1992 he moved to civil aviation and till 2005 worked as Flight Crew at Air Sofia. During his work with Air Sofia, he had worked at ACMI basis for: “Turkish Airlines”, “Air Afrique”, “Pacific Air Express”, “SriLankan Airlines”, UPS and DHL.
In 2004 he finished his Aviation MBA degree in Danube University, Austria and in 2006 started to work at Heli Air Services as Safety and Quality Manager.
In April 2008 he joined International Air Transport Association (IATA) first as Assistant Manager Passenger service in Sofia Office and then in 2011 he was promoted to Product Manager, Cargo and Aviation Training and moved to Montreal, Canada.
