Odyssey Aviation has officially opened its new, multi-million-dollar FBO at the Bahamas’ Exuma International Airport (MYEF). The facility—open daily from sunrise to sunset, with after-hours callout available—includes a 4,800-sq-ft terminal with a spacious passenger lounge and refreshment bar, conference room, pilot lounge with flight planning area, and in-house Bahamian customs and immigration service. > Danville seeks funding for multi-million dollar aviation training facility at the airport
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Danville has sent out applications to grant programs to help fund a new multi-million-dollar Aviation Maintenance Training Facility at the regional airport. The 12,532-square-foot facility will be shared by Averett University and Danville Community College (DCC). DCC will use it to complete aviation maintenance training and Averett will use it for flight instruction training activities. Officials said in total, it will cost around $8 million. Read more

As part of its plan to stimulate Türkiye’s aeronautical industry and address global chain supply bottlenecks, Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) is looking to grow its aircraft component manufacturing business by sell parts it makes to other carriers, as well as partner with Boeing to domestically produce some seats and engine components, Bloomberg reported. The IRS has begun a half-dozen audits of what will be an initial tranche of 50 into the use of business jets.
