Ryanair Operates 1st Flight On Dublin’s New Northern Runway
The new landing strip opened some 15 years after the project first received planning permission. After an hour and 17 minutes in the skies, the flight touched down in Eindhoven at 14:27 local time, 13 minutes ahead of its scheduled arrival. The aircraft operating the flight was a 2019-built Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 registered as EI-HAW, which had already completed a round trip from Dublin to Amsterdam that morning. Read more
Wizz Air Eyes Saudi Arabian Growth With 20 New Routes
Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air continues to grow its presence in the Middle East. The budget airline has announced an expansion to its network, entailing as many as 20 new routes from Europe to Saudi Arabia. By next year, Wizz plans to offer more than one million seats from European destinations to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, with prices starting at €54.99 ($54.89). Read more

GCAA bans a specific Delta 767 from flying to Ghana over fuel-related issue
The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has banned a Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-332 aircraft, registered N195DN, from flying to Ghana over technical issues. In a letter to Delta Air Lines, dated August 19, 2022, and signed by the GCAA’s Director-General Charles Kraikue, the Ghanaian authority notified the airline that the GCAA would be inspecting the aircraft owing to a fuel-related issue, according to a GhanaWeb report.
