About the training
The course Aviation SMS – Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) & Acceptable Level of Safety (ALOS) Executive Review is designed for Accountable Managers, Directors, Managers, Safety System Stakeholders, Competent Authority Regulators and Inspectors, Operations Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Quality and Safety Managers, and Auditors. It provides a detailed understanding of the Acceptable Level of Safety (ALoS), expressed through safety performance targets and indicators (SPIs), and how to use SPIs to measure and manage risk exposure. In the complex aviation industry, real-time decision-making and risk management are crucial. Absolute safety is impractical, leading to the adoption of acceptable safety, where risks are balanced against societal tolerance and operational efficiency.
