About the Training:

EASA B1.3 & B2 Leonardo AW139 Type Rating Course Theory & Practical – 32 Days

Dates: The theoretical and practical sections of the training have a gap of 4 weeks between one another:
Theory training: July 3 – 24, 2019
Practical training: August 19 – 28, 2019
Venue: Aberdeen, UK

The course focuses on the Technical Knowledge required to become a Certifying Engineer on the Leonardo AW139 Airframe and Pratt & Whitney PT6 Gas Turbine Engine.
Using EASA Part 66 regulatory compliance as the baseline with appropriate consideration for popular STC’s and Mandatory AD’s and OEM SB’s
This course complies with the EASA Part 147 and Part 66 requirements and comes with full EASA approval.
All AETS-Sofema Instructors and Practical Assessors have a minimum of 30 years’ experience and bring a wealth of personal competency and practical experience to the training.

Learning Objectives

The delegates will have the opportunity to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Aircraft and Engine and Initial and Continuing Airworthiness. In addition, to have a firm understanding of STS’s, AD’s and OEM SB’s and of all Aircraft Systems and Continuing Airworthiness and Maintenance Issues.

This training is intended to focus on the essential elements to provide a comprehensive understanding of the entire Aircraft, its systems, components and Engines.

Pre-requisites:

It is necessary to have an EASA Part 66 License, working towards one or work in Airworthiness and involved in Airworthiness decision making.

– Understanding of all Aircraft and Systems by ATA Chapter
– Airworthiness Requirements for the Aircraft and Engine
– Examinations at Level 1, 2 & 3 to EASA Part 66 Standard
– The Type Certification of the Airframe and Engine
– Aircraft Configurations and layout
– Approved Maintenance Data
– Systems by ATA Chapter
– Components and Maintenance Practices by ATA Chapter
– AD, SB, Modification & Repair Facilitation…
