Friday, November 29, 2014, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova became the first institution of civil aviation from the EU neighborhood countries which signed the new type of working arrangements with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The document sets out the cooperation basis between the two institutions in achieving the main objectives of flight safety established in Common Aviation Area Agreement between Moldova and the European Union and its Member States signed in 2012. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova will be monitored by relevant European body to follow the progress of implementation of european standards in civil aviation. It is important to note that cooperation in this regard with EASA will not generalize additional costs for Moldova or CAA RM. Moreover, CAA RM will benefit from new opportunities in collaboration with EASA, including involvement in the activities of working groups within this European institution.
