Reliability can be about far more than simply maintaining Maintenance Programme (MP) effectiveness and reliability. Data collected through the reliability analysis process can be used to support the optimisation of the maintenance process. The purpose of a reliability program is to ensure that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are effective and their periodicity is adequate, in addition the reliability program may result in the escalation or deletion of a maintenance task, as well as the de-escalation or addition of a maintenance task.
