Introduction
Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of 3 November 2011 lays down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The provisions of the Regulation on Aircrew are published in several documents: Implementing Rules (published in the Official Journal of the European Union) and associated Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC), Guidance Material (GM), and Certification Specifications (published on the Agency website). Aimed at the specific needs of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) / Competent Authority (CA) The purpose of this three-day course on is to consider in detail the obligations affecting EASA Air Crew Regulation.
A review of EASA Basic Regulation 216/08 is provided together with a comprehensive introduction to the annexes contained in EU regulation 1178/11 and Amending Regulations for Air Crew.
The Courses Focus on the Obligations of the CAA / Regulatory Authority to ensure effective oversight of Aircrew Certification and Compliance. The Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM) to Part-FCL and Part-MED was adopted by the Agency and published on the Agency’s webpage in December 2011. Target groups
The Primary Focus of this training is aimed at Civil Aviation Authority and Regulatory Authority Inspectors in addition the course will be of significant benefit to persons involved in the management of pilot training as well as Pilots and Flight Operations Quality Auditors, Flight Operations Inspectors, Regulators, and other External Auditors and Interested Parties.
Pre-requisites
A background in an aviation environment and familiarity with existing Air Crew Regulations will be an advantage.
Learning Objectives
To familiarize participants with the new structure and content of the Air Crew regulation. To achieve will have an in-depth understanding of the structure and content of Regulation (EU) 1178/2011 (as amended), and attain the skills necessary to deliver regulatory and oversight audits of the industry.
