SMS Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment – 1 Day

If correctly implemented the SMS can become a powerful business tool to support the effective development of the organisation

Within the organization we need to be able to manage many different kinds of operational risk.

Post Holders and business owners have specific responsibility for the effectiveness of the SMS system within the respective areas. A fundamental part of this process is to ensure the most effective risk assessment process.

An effective Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) will provide for an ongoing practical assessment of the status of your SMS. The process will be able to focus on gap analysis, measurement of current status, and practical change management challenges, including the continuous identification and management of hazards.

The two ways to achieve the goal of understanding risk are either by directly taking responsibility for conducting the risk assessments or to receive support from designated risk assessors. At the root of understanding risks, sits the safety performance of the organization.
