Luxaviation Group has announced the introduction of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) options at its Paris Le Bourget Fixed Base Operator (FBO) facility. This follows the FBOs transition to fully electric ground
handling equipment (GHE) marking a significant step towards sustainable aviation. The FBO is managed under the ExecuJet brand. The testing focused on high voltage (800V) operations and thermal performance, according to company officials, who said the results confirmed the magni650 electric motor’s capabilities at altitudes. The installation took three weeks and was done while the aeroplane was down for maintenance. Van Nuys, California-based Part 145 repair station Thornton Aviation is the first West Coast MRO provider to install a SpaceX Starlink satcom system in a Gulfstream G650. The airplane is operated by a local charter management company. Read more
