> Air Serbia to take delivery of second A330 jet in October
Air Serbia will add a second wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft to its fleet this October. As EX-YU Aviation News learns, the carrier has adopted the decision to lease its second twin-aisle jet. In addition, it has decided to launch flights to China that same month, pending government approval. The development will mark the first expansion of the airline’s long-haul operations since introducing services to New York City in June 2016. Read more

For the first time in aviation history, a CORSIA-certified batch of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) was delivered to a commercial airline. American Airlines took possession of a batch of Neste MY Sustainable Aviation FuelTM at San Francisco International Airport. Neste is the world’s leading SAF producer and delivered the batch as a part of a pilot program to certify SAF as a CORSIA-eligible fuel that can be used by an airline to meet its emissions obligation under CORSIA. > SpiceJet aircraft grounded in Dubai before being allowed to operate again
A SpiceJet Boeing 737 aircraft was grounded as a precautionary measure due to problems with its nose wheel after a flight from Mangaluru to Dubai on Monday, a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official said and added it was later permitted to operate flights. The airline also sent an alternate aircraft to Dubai. Read more
