The course was carried out as a webinar by the experienced SAS instructor Dejan Dencic.

About the training

This course aims to provide participants with an overview of EASA Part 66 regulations and the requirements for obtaining an AML. During the course, they will develop an understanding of aircraft systems maintenance and inspection, encompassing electrical, mechanical, and avionic systems. Participants will also acquire knowledge of aviation legislation and regulations, including those of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). They will learn about the Human Factors integral to aircraft maintenance, such as communication, teamwork, and safety culture, will be explored. Upon completion, attendees will grasp the significance of maintenance documentation and its compliance with EASA Part 66 regulations.

Get to know the instructor

Dejan is an aviation professional with over 20 years of working experience. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia with a degree in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering. The instructor is experienced in aircraft maintenance and maintenance planning & engineering. Dejan has also worked as a Compliance Monitoring Manager covering quality and safety in air OPS and CAMO. He has a type rating for B737, ATR-72, and Airbus 320 family aircraft and is able to demonstrate a very good knowledge of aircraft documentation (AMM, IPC, MPD, AMS, AD, etc.). Besides being a Sofema trainer, Dejan is currently working as Lecturer/Instructor at Aviation Academy and as Quality Assurance Manager at a pilot school near Belgrade.
