Who is the Diploma suitable for?

The Program is appropriate for Certifying Engineers, CAMO Post Holders (PH) / Nominated Persons (NP), and any other members of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) wishing to boost their knowledge and start a career as a CAMO, Safety, or Compliance Manager.

Which courses are included in the Diploma?

The CAMO Diploma contains 16 separate online courses:

  • Aircraft Technical Records
  • EASA Part 21 Review for CAMO Staff
  • Developing an Effective Reliability Program Essentials
  • Introduction to Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) and Minimum Equipment List (MEL)
  • Engine Condition Trend Monitoring
  • RVSM Operations, Continued Airworthiness & Maintenance Practices with VO
  • EASA Part CAMO Regulatory Obligations with VO
  • EASA Part CAMO – SMS – Regulatory Obligations with VO
  • AD, SB & Repair Considerations for EASA CAMO
  • FAA & EASA Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) training

Each one of the courses is certificated and upon completion of all of them, you will be eligible to receive a Hard Copy Diploma.

Compliance Manager.

What responsibilities will you have as a CAMO, Safety, or Compliance Manager?

CAMO Manager – Main Responsibilities:

  • Representing the continuing airworthiness management structure of the organisation
  • Be responsible for all continuing airworthiness functions
  • Ensuring the functioning of the Quality System with the Maintenance Department
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the entire maintenance system conforms to and is being conducted in accordance with Part 145 and approved procedures, and implementing updated MEL requirements inside the CAMO
  • Produce and send work orders to Part 145 maintenance organisations for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance actions
  • Produce, update, and guide the approval process and implementation of AMP’s
  • Defining the whole system of maintaining or regaining the airworthiness of company aeroplanes

Safety Manager – Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating hazard identification, risk assessment and management
  • Monitoring the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow-up is addressed by the compliance monitoring function
  • Providing periodic reports on safety performance to the safety review board
  • Ensuring the maintenance of safety management documentation
  • Ensuring that there is safety training available and that it meets acceptable standards
  • Providing advice on safety matters
  • Ensuring the initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence investigations

Compliance Manager – Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the activities of the organisation are monitored for compliance with the applicable requirements and any additional requirements as established by the organisation, and that these activities are carried out properly
  • Ensuring that any contracted maintenance is monitored for compliance with the contract or work order
  • Ensuring that an audit plan is properly implemented, maintained, and continually reviewed, and improved
