Get to know the SAS Instructor Tihomir Dzingov – an aviation professional with over 25 years of experience
Tihomir Dzingov is a Licensed FAA Aircraft Dispatcher. He has extensive knowledge and broad experience in the fields of Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, Business Development, Human Factors, Aviation Training, etc. He has the ability to support the development of working solutions to many of the organizational challenges within the operational & maintenance environment. Tihomir has an in-depth knowledge of the EASA regulatory structure. He specialises in Aviation Regulatory Training, EU OPS Manuals, Air OPS Consulting, Flight Operations Control Support, Ground Operations Support, and Aircraft Services – ACMI.

We asked Tihomir a few questions:
1. Initially, what inspired you to start a career in aviation?
“The work dynamics in the airlines’ operations control centre, and on the ramp, airside on the airports.”
2. What motivates you as an aviation instructor and what is the best part about being a Sofema trainer?
“I know that I`ll enjoy all the way, during travelling to the event, on the event itself, and ensuring that most of the participants will not be bored there. The best part is the unconditional support from the whole Sofema team. I wish to deliver more training.”
3. Which aspects do you find most rewarding in your career?
“Traveling the world and meeting & working with aviation professionals.”
4. And what challenges have you faced along the way?
“Not that often, but communication with non-native English speaker’s accents, both mine and the trainees’.”
5. Besides Aviation, what other areas pique your interest?
“Vintage cars, old-timers.”
6. Lastly, what will you advise people who dream of a career in aviation?
“Just do it and do not avoid following the standard operations procedures.”
