SAS is pleased to announce the launch of a new training dedicated to the relationship to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia air carriers for a foreign certificated repair station located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

GACAR Part 145 Repair Stations sets forth safety standards necessary to inspect and maintain aircraft and aircraft parts. These safety standards ultimately benefit the maintenance personnel, passengers, and flight crew.

GACAR Part 43 sets the requirements for what kinds of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia registered aircraft mechanics can work on, who can work on the aircraft, and who can sign off the aircraft’s logbook.

From the course will benefit mostly Operators/Air Carriers, Maintenance Organisations, Regulatory Staff from National Aviation Authorities, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) approval holders.

The course has the following objectives:

−Secure knowledge of the key components of GACAR Part 145 and GACAR Part 43.

−Provide examples as to the ‘know how’ as well as the ‘know what’ by looking at a practical perspective of GACAR Part 145 and GACAR Part 43.

−Implement GACAR Part 145 within an Organization.

−Understand the interface between GACAR Part 145 and GACAR Part 43.

−Provide a regulatory and industry perspective for staff involved in GACAR 145 in accordance with the maintenance rules of GACAR Part 43.
