Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com is delighted to share that the FAA & EASA 145 Component Certification – Regulatory Requirements & Bilateral Considerations training was delivered to 13 delegates from ORAO. 

The course was carried out by the knowledgeable SAS instructor Craig Colby as a webinar on 11-12 July 2022.

What was the course about?

This course was designed to provide the delegates with a basic understanding of the FAA / EASA 145 regulatory process together with an overview of the key fundamentals of Bi-lateral Maintenance Annex Guidance (MAG) and Technical Implementation Procedures (TIP). After completing the training they will be able to use the regulatory information to document and demonstrate compliance. The participants will achieve a significant awareness regarding the working mechanics of the Parts Oversight Management & Certification environment leading to improved performance and organizational benefits in their effectiveness. They will also gain awareness of Due Process and the ability to optimize the organisation.

Get to know the instructor

Craig Colby has more than 35 years of experience in aviation maintenance and aviation management. He is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. The instructor is experienced as A&P mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Director, Facilitator, and Medevac Modification Project Consultant. He has an Inspection Authorization License, FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, FAA Private Pilot’s License, Thailand DCA License, and is also fluent in spoken Thai.
