Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) was very pleased to have the opportunity to deliver EASA compliant Part 145 training together with Quality Auditing and Safety Management Systems training for Quality & Safety Managers.

 

The training was delivered in the facilities of Lao Airlines Engineering Company Limited (LAECO), at Vientiane’s Wattay International Airport.

 

LAECO was set up by Lao Airlines March 2014 – An agreement to establish the Lao Airlines Engineering Company Limited (LAECO), was signed this week between Lao Airlines president Somphone Douangdara and CIT Lao Company’s general manager Jos van Schaik.

 

The facility is being developed to provide professional care and maintenance for aircraft and to make sure services are meeting international standards,” State-owned Lao Airlines will hold 51 per cent of shares in the company with CIT Lao holding the remainder.

LAECO is planning on developing capacity to deliver heavy maintenance on ATR & Airbus aircraft.

Commented Steven Bentley MD of SAS who delivered the three separate training courses: “It was a pleasure to deliver EASA compliant training to such an enthusiastic group of aircraft maintenance engineers. SAS wishes LAECO every success in its efforts to secure EASA Part 145 approval.”
