The course was carried out in Romanian by the experienced SAS instructor Marius Paisa at the RAS Technic facilities in Bucharest, Romania on 03-04 October 2022.
What was the training about?
This training aims to provide the delegates with the ability to implement a Bird Strike management policy, action, and necessary measures to reduce the Bird Strike risk to the lowest practicable level. They will also be able to analyse bird data in respect of bird strikes and observations and monitoring of bird/wildlife activities in and around the Airport. The participants will learn to reveal trends that will assist airport authorities to recognize areas of concern, which should be addressed through a well-managed Bird Control programme. The course presents several habitat management practices that can make an airport less attractive to birds.
