Sofema Aviation Services takes a look at the opportunity to develop your own EASA Part 145 Compliant Human Factors In-Company training.

Human Error is a pervasive and ever-present exposure and the reality is that almost all, of these accidents, are preventable. For many years Human Factors (HF) training has served as an effective countermeasure against the potential for human error in the aircraft maintenance workplace.

Aviation errors including errors which result from Human Factor interactions have the potential to that lead to accidents and incidents with significant costs, damage and even loss of life each year.

Developing your own Human Factors Program delivered by a competent Instructor can provide an in-depth understanding and awareness of all the factors that can contribute to human error. HF training is a highly cost-effective tool that can help minimize human error and reduce accidents and incidents in the workplace.

Why Aviation Human Factor Training?

Both poor design, as well as inadequate training of “all” staff (both management & front line), can contribute to individual human error which in turn may leads to system performance shortfalls. Such Human Factor related events or conditions can become precursors for accidents & incidents.

Moreover, it is possible that inadequate design or management shortfalls may actually become pre-cursors to group errors that can also lead to system performance shortfalls.

Sofema Aviation Services HF Instructor (Train-The-Trainer) course is specifically designed for your own company personnel who are interested to engage with delivering a Human Factors Training Program and would like to learn how to develop and teach HF courses within your organisation.

This is a 4-day intensive course and covers all the essential elements of managing your company HF program.

See further details of the course here.

What are the Pre-Requisites to be an Aviation Maintenance Human Factors Instructor?

Whilst it is not mandatory for any “pre-requisites” it is clear that the individual has to have not only a desire to “Instruct” but additionally has adequate knowledge of Aviation Maintenance Human Factors as well as adequate knowledge of Human Performance and Limitations.

The Human Factors train the trainer course is not the same as a HF course so delegates should complete 1 or more HF training courses before attending the TTT.

Additionally to have some experience as an instructor/facilitator will provide additional benefits to the delegate.
