EASA Quality and Safety For AM Nominated Persons QMS & SMS – 1 Day

Introduction

This 1 day Intensive Courses focuses on the roles and responsibilities of the Senior Management Team in particular related to the Quality & Safety Manager and the Post Holder Obligations

Quality Assurance is essentially looking at compliance and Safety Assurance is looking at any weakness in the organisational system which raises the exposure to risk. Quality Assurance is looking at the existing situation whilst Safety Assurance is a forward looking process.

Whilst Quality is essentially looking at compliance, Safety Management Systems should focus extensively on the analysis of the data derived from the contributing elements of the various impacted areas.

The Safety Management System identifies as an essential goal, the improvement of the Safety Performance. In so doing the SMS aims to deliver an improvement in the risk exposure.

What is the Benefit of this Training – What will I learn?

a) To be able to explain the key elements required to organize the organisations compliance audit and Safety Management System to both ensure compliance and to deliver maximum effectiveness.

b) Understand the regulations which deliver the Quality Audit & SMA Requirements

c) To be able to explain the requirements for both the QA and SMS systems including an understanding of the different types of audit applicable for each area together with how the QMS and SMS integrates within the overall Management System Process.

d) Ability to focus on effective identification of root cause analysis and promotion of positive action.

e) To be able to place a clear priority on best practice management within a strong quality assurance “compliance-based” system.

f) Understand techniques to focus on the organisational issues during the audit including the relationship within the work place and responsibility to address issues.

g) To be able to fully engage with the process of Root Cause Analysis

h) To understand the mechanism whereby the Senior Management can demonstrate effective oversight and management of its risks.

i) To understand the meaning of “Top Down” Safety Management Systems – and what it means for business leaders.

j) To understand the methodology used to mitigate or control the potential “safety threats.
