This training is designed to enable Civil Aviation Authorities employee to meet their obligations under the mentioned above regulations which govern the shipment of Dangerous Goods.

What is the purpose of the course?
In ICAO Document 8335 is stated that “The CAA should establish and control the competencies of its safety inspectors. For this purpose it should provide training or take other actions to reach the established level of competency, and it should evaluate the effectiveness of these actions.” This principle is applicable in area of transport of Dangerous Goods by air. The responsible Inspector for inspection of the dangerous Goods shipments need to be appropriately trained and qualified. The Technical Instructions For The Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284) of ICAO requires such training to be done every 24 months in order experts in this area to be informed of latest data in this fast changing area.

The training is based on IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) which mirrored ICAO TI and are the field document used by airlines to transport hazardous materials by air. At this course you will achieve the skills and learn techniques to make inspections in accordance with industry best practices and applicable regulations. You will learn about Dangerous Goods and the latest changes published in the latest edition of DGR .
