What was the training about?
This course was designed to provide the delegates with an understanding of the regulatory basis of the Bilateral Agreement and details of its constituent parts. It considers the following aspects: A Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA), Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and Working Arrangement (WA). After completing the training the students will gain knowledge of the application and approval process & will learn how to prepare for the Competent Authority transfer audit activity.

Steve Bentley has over 45 years of experience in commercial aviation, including more than 12 years in the airworthiness department of Virgin Atlantic – a major UK international airline. He has in-depth knowledge of the EASA regulatory structure. Steve is also a competent trainer with a huge portfolio of subjects including both aviation operations and maintenance disciplines. The instructor is a trained ISO 9000 lead auditor, as well as IOSA trained. With decades of practical experience, Steve has the ability to support the development of working solutions to many organisational challenges which we face within the operational and maintenance environment.
