What is the training about?

This course provides comprehensive training for individuals to become proficient instructors and assessors in aerodrome operations. It covers both theoretical and practical aspects, with a focus on EASA regulations, advanced instructional methods, safety management principles, and effective assessment techniques. Participants will learn how to deliver engaging training sessions, evaluate trainee performance, and incorporate human factors into their teaching to enhance safety and performance in aerodrome environments.  Read more

Which topics will be addressed?

Day 1

  • Introduction to aerodrome operations and relevant regulations (e.g., Regulation (EU) No 139/2014)
  • In-depth study of EASA regulations, including AMC1 ADR.OR.D.017
  • Instructional techniques and methods (adult learning principles, lectures, simulations)
  • Understanding and applying human factors in training (managing stress, human performance)
  • Introduction to Safety Management Systems (SMS) in aerodromes and conducting risk assessments

Day 2

  • Hands-on instruction techniques (use of simulators, providing feedback)
  • Designing and implementing scenario-based training and performance evaluation
  • Conducting simulations of aerodrome operations, focusing on emergencies and crisis management
  • Techniques for assessing trainee competency and setting performance benchmarks
