Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com is pleased to share that the EASA Airworthiness Certification and Regulation CS 29 Large Rotorcraft training was completed by 14 delegates from Bundeswehr.
The course was carried out by the experienced SAS instructor Crawford Murray on 17 – 21 April 2023 at the Luftfahrtamt der Bundeswehr Facilities.
What was the training about?
This course was designed to provide the delegates with a basic understanding of the entire EASA regulatory certification process together with an overview of the key fundamentals of Large Rotorcraft certification and the interdependencies of the various approvals. They will achieve a significant awareness of the working mechanics of the regulatory environment leading to improved performance and organisational benefits. After completing the training, the participants will be able to use the regulatory information to document and demonstrate compliance. The delegates will understand Due Process and will gain the ability to manage Contract and Subcontract Activities.

Get to know the instructor
Crawford Murray is a graduate of the University of Plymouth with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has more than 35 years of working experience in the following aviation areas: Design, Stress and Development engineering; Technical Services; Airworthiness; CS25, 27 and 29 aircraft on structures, mechanical systems and cabin interiors/safety; Part 21J consultancy & EASA Pt21 repair and minor modification design service; Aviation training and more. From 2000 to 2003, Crawford was a representative on the VAA Engineering Staff Committee the reps chairperson and a committee representative on the company Forum from mid-2000 until 2003. He was involved with major company policy decisions including negotiating the redundancy policy post 9/11, participating in grievances and disciplinaries as well as mediating between staff and management in local issues.
