Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com is pleased to share that the Composite Material Introduction & TAP Testing for Aviation Inspectors course was successfully delivered to 23 delegates from Swiftair.
The training was carried out by our experienced instructor Vladimir Šuša on 17-18 & 19-20 July 2023 at the Swiftair facilities.
What was the course about?
This training provides aviation inspectors with a comprehensive understanding of composite materials, covering composition, properties, manufacturing, and inspection requirements. Participants will gain skills to accurately identify, evaluate, and address potential issues in composite structures, including those in aircraft. The course enhances competence in detecting and addressing the in-service deterioration of composites, along with emphasizing effective aircraft maintenance inspection. Delegates will learn techniques for inspecting composite aircraft, including visual inspection, defect identification and location.

Get to know the instructor
Vladimir Šuša is a graduate of the University for Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, in the Aviation Department. He has 16+ years of experience in Aviation Safety and Quality Engineering, Safety Management and Investigation, Aircraft Structure Engineering, and more. Vladimir has worked as a Senior Advisor at the Center for Investigation of Accidents in Transport, led safety investigations for serious incidents and accidents, and defined recommendations to enhance air traffic safety. He has also served as a mentor for apprentices. The instructor has been engaged in safety management and the development of safety plans.
