About the training
This course was designed to provide the delegates with an understanding of the basic Principles of Flight, related to Aircraft Weight and Balance. After completing the training, they will be familiar with all terms used in the Aircraft Weight & Balance, Domain & the design of load and trim charts and will be able to ensure the correct weight & balance of an aircraft prior to dispatch to customers.

Sorin Mira is a SAS trainer with over 18 years of experience. He has worked as an Operations Manager / Instructor, Load Control and Operations Supervisor, Load Control and Operations Supervisor, Weight & Balance Officer / OPS Supervisor, Turnaround Coordinator, Ground Handling Agent & more. Sorin is also a certified Weight & Balance Officer (including wide-body aircraft), Ground Handling Agent, Appointed Person, Turnaround Coordinator, Deicing Supervisor & more.

Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) was formed on 1st March 1959. The first aircraft were three PROVOST jet trainer and two Pioneer transport aircraft, operated from a small runway in Bait Alfalaj. In 1961, four Beaver aircraft joined RAFO, followed in 1967 by 12 strike master aircraft. Ever since the accession Sultan Qaboos and the Rebirth of the Sultanate of Oman in 1970, Royal Air Force of Oman came into its own as the dynamo of national defense as well as of national civil development.
