Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com is pleased to share that the UK – Bilateral Agreements Related to Aircraft Certification and Maintenance Current Status (UKCAA & EASA) training was completed by 7 delegates from Qatar Airways. 

The course was carried out as a webinar by the knowledgeable SAS instructor Dejan Dencic on 05 & 12 April 2023.

What was the training about?

This course was designed to provide the delegates with a detailed awareness of the type of certificate evaluation process considerations FAA – UK CAA. They will understand the technical implementation procedures for airworthiness and environmental certification between UK CAA & EASA. After completing the training, the participants will be able to fully engage with the bilateral approval between FAA & UK CAA concerning products & articles and to underly the differences between UK CAA / EASA part 66 module 9 and UK CAA / EASA part 66 module 10.

Get to know the instructor

Dejan Dencic is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia with a degree in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering. He is experienced in aircraft maintenance and maintenance planning & engineering. Dejan has also worked as a Compliance Monitoring Manager covering quality and safety in air OPS and CAMO. The instructor has a type rating for B737, ATR-72, and Airbus 320 family aircraft and is able to demonstrate a very good knowledge of aircraft documentation (AMM, IPC, MPD, AMS, AD, etc.). Besides being a Sofema trainer, Dejan is currently working as Lecturer/Instructor at Aviation Academy and as Quality Assurance Manager at a pilot school near Belgrade.
