Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com considers the regulatory requirement driven by the new EASA Part CAMO requirements, in particular regarding the Part CAMO Safety Manager.

Introduction

By having a defined set of competencies for each role, the organization shows employees the kind of behaviors it values and those it requires to help achieve its objectives.

EASA describes competency as a combination of individual skills, practical and theoretical knowledge, attitudes, training, and experience.

Providing more depth, we could further consider the following:

  • A capability that allows a person to perform various processes or tasks and achieve outcomes.
  • It is a combination of relevant knowledge, skills, and attitudes. It is the demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills.
